The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant

This story was about a boy who liked this older girl and he would always try to do things for her to notice him. One day, he asked her to a music event, and she accepted. He picked her up in the canoe he spent that whole day cleaning, and they scooted down the river. When Sheila was facing the opposite direction of him, he decided to use his fishing poll. Luckily, he caught a bass. He knew this because it was really strong and it knew exactly what to do. After struggling don the river to bring it in, he cut the line and let it free. He has never tried something like that again.
The main Tension was when Sheila was in the boat while he tried to catch the bass and he couldn't pull it up. The main conflict would be when he had the bass and after he struggled for so long, he decided to let it free. The main object would be Sheila Mant, how no one was ever quite like her and how she's very rare to find. The story was important to the author because it told of something that can maybe happen only once in a lifetime.

Wednesday Post 2/16/2011

One time, a friend of mine has a crush on this one guy and I told her it wouldn't be a good idea to flirt with him, but she did anyways. They started talking and she would always tell me stories about what they did, and how she felt about him. Whenever she was around him, she always felt like she was gonna say something stupid and butterflies floated in her stomach when she was around him. It seemed fine between him and her when all of a sudden, a rumor went around school about them. Sadley, things didn't work out between him and her and she ended up falling apart at the end.

My Role Model

There has been many people in my life who have been there for me. They've showed me many useful things I may use in the near future. As you can see, I have many role models, but the most important one is my mom. She's taught me how to do things on my own, she's given me a better life an what she had,and she's tried her hardest to make us see all of the good things we have.
One thing she has taught me is to be a warm-hearted person. For instance, when I see someone in a troubled spot, I try to help them or even comfort them if they need a friend. I'm like my mom in this way. Another thing she's taught me is to treat people with respect and kindness. I try to be the nicest person and try to act mature for my age. Her friends tell me how respectful and kind I am when they see me and how I'm very mature for my age. These are only some of the things she's taught me.
Another thing she has done is given me a better life than what she had. She hasn't had the best life, but now she tries giving us what she never had. Every Christmas, she goes out of the way to get us what we've asked for in the year. This is usually the time where she has a hard time with money and how she spends it wisely on us and her needs. What she also does is surprises us by bringing home things randomly for the boys and I. As I said, she always gives us things even when we don't ask for them.
She's tried her hardest to make us see all of the good things we have. She always reminds us of who we are and what we stand for. She tells us to cherish every moment we have with our elders because you don't know how much time is left until they're gone. Whenever I don't see my grandma or instead hang out with friends, she'll always tell me to spend as much time with her as I can. As her mom is important to her, my grandma is important to me in the same way.
Throughout my life, I have had many role models, but the most important one is my mom. She has taught me how to do things on my own, like helping myself. She has also given me a better life than what she had. For instance, she gives us things even when she doesn't have much money. The last thing is she tries her hardest to make us see all of the good things we have. One of the most important is our grandma. We can choose to be on our own, or have people help us every step of the way. My mom is a prime example of a role model.

Dealing

I've never been true to myself, and I live through all my regrets. It's time to say who I really am and let everything be at rest. So before I begin this long lost letter, I must let the people I know, that even though you know me well, you've never seen my hidden self show. I look at other people and wish I could be them. When I see someone so happy, I wonder "why not me instead of them?" I don't understand the life that I was born and raised in. I'm not rich and have divorced parents with no money left to spend. We're in debt above our heads and God why we have to fight. I'm tired of being in this tug of war. Just want to live life right. I'm tired of a lot of things like the fact I have no angel. Trouble comes from all different ways and pain from different angles. I've had a broken heart more than enough and I'm still in the process of healing. It's always something over and over again. My heart isn't sealing, just dealing. I'm not normal like most people and that's what sets me apart. I'm not the reason for why I'm like this, it's some of my parent's fault. It hurts me to even say that, but that's where I get it from. They tell me it's never my fault when I know there's many more problems to come. I was happy once, that was so long ago. I'm getting older and surrounded by love but I listen to my soul. My heart no longer beats like it did, which is why I let it go. It's just something that keeps me going, and I'm surprised how far it has grown.v I can't believe I'm still alive today with all the problems that I must face. Time passes by while I'm stuck in the middle. All I can do is let it erase

Brainstorming for Personal Writing

I was thinking about doing who's a role model in my life. Right when I read that topic, I thought of many people who have been big helps in my life. They've taught me things that have made me the person I am today. Since I've been around these people all of my life, I've gotten a few ideas of what makes them who they are. Each has there own way of teaching me stuff that I may use in the near future. In much perspective, this has given me a reason to express what I see and feel in my everyday life.

Watching Thugs With Razors at Tahrir Square

He says they presented them as clashes, and misleading. The reason for their statement is because it was relied on hoodlums, not actual police or armed forces. His bias is pro-democracy, and he supports his opinion. He always says about how they should do something about it if he were them. He says Obama isn't helping out as much as he should, and he should get into this before it gets worse like it is now.

Letting Go

The hardest is getting yourself to let go. If you don't, than how will you ever know. Nothing is really set in stone. That's why it is best to go on your own. Put yourself before another, let your mind take control. Never settle for less or else you will have a tole. Risks are just apart of life. You need to take each one you get. If one fails, then that means another goal must be set. All it takes is one person, and that person is you. Determination could be a way to help break you through. You must believe in yourself like we believe in you. We know you'll do well even though you just assume. Just think the more you work for the things you recieve, you'll be rewarded fir your hard work and the thingsYou've achieved. Take a look at the obvious, make assumptions if you will. There's only a matter of time before you're up that big hill

For You

Crying shows a sign of weakness in another's eyes. That's why you must cover up those tears and wipe them till they're dry. Think of positive thoughts and I promise things will turn around. You'll never have to worry about hitting the ground. I'll be right there to catch you and if we both fall...I'll be the first to get back up and pick you up so tall. There's no need for sadness, just remember you'll always have me. Whenever you get trapped, I'll be the one to set you free. So turn that frown upside down so you can get through. I'll always be there no matter what because I love you.

No More

Send me rainstorms instead of the ones in my eyes. Give me thunder to drown out the sounds of all lies. Bring me lightning that strikes all whom ask for it most. Save your sorrys for when you're gone like a ghost. Don't come to me when your problems start to collide. The only thing worth doing is setting all worries and problems aside. Let your body drift away into a cold hard sleep. Relax your mind from all of the worries still buried deep.

Whi Is She?

I hold in my anger so no one will see the ferocious beast that hides inside of me. I cry every night just toehold it in. It makes me sick to know I'll never win. There's so many things I want to do. Life is hard enough just to make it through. Will I ever be able to stand my own ground? My soul is lost and will not be found. I'm not strong enough to take this world on my own. I don't want to live my life being alone. Why do bad things always happen at the wrong times? Will I ever be happy instead of just fine? Someone please give me an answer to why this must be. Why doesn't love seem to set itself free? There's so many things that keep running through my mind. There's something needed that I must find. If only I knew where I truly belong. When I want to escape, I escape through a song. When everything's a lie, they tell me the truth. What has happened to this nation and our youth? I don't understand how it's gotten so far when everything is kept closed in a jar. I'm tired of being in such a tight space. I'm tired of competing in this race. That's why I must end with a pleasant goodbye. I'll see you up there in the sky. One bullet to the head and she was down. Remember when she said her soul was lost, well now it's been found.

This article is about how Egypt is communicating through sites like facebook and twitter, but this termoilshuts down right away. It slows down Internet acces and prevents them from sending things to one another. They say there is other ways besides this. They say Egypt can acces the Internet through satellite and they can also tap into Internet accesses from other countries. In Egypt, they are protesting on the internet blackout that has been going on. They've burned buildings and knocked down signs. They even have gathered in big groups and chanted. I think the way google and other sights that are going along with this Haven't really thought of what this could do.

I Wish

I wish you were right here by my side. I wish we would never have to say goodbye. I wish all of this was only a dream. Now life is so much harder than it really seems. Can you hear me from up there in the sky? I wish life would gives all another try. You'll always be with us in our hearts like you have always been from the start

what comm. 9 has been doing

In 3rd hour comm. 9, we have been working on purpose, audience and tone with different websites.  We've also examined different types of analogies and what all of them mean.
